Sustainability
In an effort to be the greenest traditional building company, we recycle as much as physically possible, using only companies who responsibly dispose of any waste and spoil. Our timber is sourced from Forest Stewardship Council certified and graded timber. We use low carbon cement where possible, our glazing is all A-rated as standard, this is the most energy-efficient double glazed system available, our frames are all weather sealed and fully filled with a foam insulator to avoid any potential draft, this along with all other insulation based upgrades that we deliver to keep property heating costs down and protects the environment simultaneously, our heating elements are engineered to do exactly the same, keep your bills down and the environment clean!
Our building practices allow for no thermal bridging between materials, this means the cold can't be transferred via materials in and warm out so no potential for condensation build-up or cause for cold spots to appear this again keeps homes warm and dry. We never use the basic level of insulation and will always plump for more when possible, this allows buildings to stay cool in summer and warm in winter. The products used on our sites are often recycled where a performance sacrifice is not encountered, we offset our carbon footprint to cover our vehicle fleet as we cannot currently afford an electric overhaul on all our vehicles, we use Ecotricity as our energy provider, our office supplies are recycled, we do not use ink cartridges in our printers and aim to use products with minimal packaging, we shop locally where practical and feel all these little things add up to the business being as sustainable as possible and the only way to achieve progress.
